BMW G310R Receives Positive International Reviews

BMW G310R is the recent talk of the town with its positive feedback from most of the testers who went for a media drive in the US. While most people were worried about the quality and performance of the Indian made youngest BMW ever, some worried how could it would stand against the other sub $5000 motorcycles around the segment. After testing each module of the most affordable motorcycle from the lineup, journalist were quite satisfied by the claims that were earlier made by BMW in every potential market.

BMW G310R was found to carry the best possible built quality under its given price tag. It was even claimed by BMW that every bike passes through certain quality checks before it goes into the market and manufacturing under the TVS facility won’t lead to any problem in the quality related terms in the G310R. Some of them even claimed that visible fit and finish was even better than the rival KTM 390 Duke.

The engine here is a 313 cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected motor producing 34 PS and 28 Nm of torque. Riders claimed that the bike had no hints of vibrations till 90 kmph on the rear view mirrors while it even carried the potential to be ridden at 120 kmph for all day long. The torque is well spread around the band whereas the short gearing makes the bike good for 7000 rpm in the sixth gear at 110 kmph.

BMW even offers adjustable seat height option on the G310R, making it the only one in its segment to help both short and long riders. It come with a seat height of 785 mm as stock. G310R offers a nice instrument console with the option of fuel economy display as well. Riders were not satisfied with its exhaust note while the brakes and ABS option was considered as a decent setup around its segment.

BMW will offer a lot of customization options on the baby roadster. It can be fitted with saddle bags, 12V charging socket and center stand while the US spec version even offers heated grips on the bike. G310R will launch in India around March 2017, making it the first ever bike to carry the BMW moniker and a price that can fall pretty well below the INR 2 lakh mark. It could be placed under the KTM 390 Duke as its international pricing it even lower than the Austrian Orange street machine. Both of them are made in India and imported internationally.
