The brand-wise 2-wheeler sales report brought out mixed results for multiple automobile manufacturers. Though some brands witnessed a gradual decline in the sales for July 2019, others saw a minimal increase or no changes at all when compared to the previous month.
Hero MotoCorp, as usual, turns out to be the best selling brand in India being able to witness a total sale of 5,11,374 units. Following closely is Honda, witnessing a sales of 4,55,036 units in July 2019. Both the brands have witnessed a drop in sales by 22.9% and 10.5% respectively when compared to the same month last year.
The third spot has been grabbed by TVS motors, being able to sell a total of 2,08,489 units in July 2019 though witnessing a total of 15.6% decline in sales when compared to last year. Following shortly at the fourth position is Bajaj Auto, being able to clock in a total of 1,70,978 units in July 2019. The fifth position has been bagged by Suzuki which has witnessed a 17% increase in sales by clocking in a total of 62,365 units in July 2019.
Royal Enfield has been able to grab the 6th place last month by witnessing a total sales of 49,182 units though saw a total decline in sales by 26.6% when compared to July 2018. Following closely is Yamaha Motors selling a total of 47,918 units in July 2019.
Piaggio with a total sales of 5,893 units and Kawasaki with a total sales of 218 units grabbed the 8th and 9th spot on the list respectively. Kawasaki is the second brand after Suzuki that has witnessed an increase in sales by 50% when compared to 2018.
Harley-Davidson was good for 175 units in July 2019 while Triumph witnessed a sales of only 38 units in the same month. The twelfth spot on the list has been bagged by Mahindra 2-wheelers, being able to witness only 26 units in July 2019, witnessing a decline in sales by 92.2% when compared to last year. As UM Global has not yet launched the ABS-equipped Renegade series in India thus, the brand registered zero sales in July 2019.
