BSA Gold Star 650 On The Road – Official TV Commercial Released

Indian originated company Mahindra and also the owner of the Classic Legends bought the rights of BSA Motorcycles back in 2016 at Rs. 28 crores, approximately. Now the company is ready to launch its first BSA motorcycle in the market. The company will launch this new motorcycle under the name BSA Gold Star 650. The company presented this motorcycle at the global level for the first time at the Motorcycle Live Show held in Birmingham at the starting of this month. The inspiration for a few design features of Gold Star 650 has been taken from the classic Bonneville Twins motorcycle.

The BSA Gold Star 650 is designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom and will be launched for the first time therein. But before the launch, BSA motorcycles has released a TVC of this new bike. It is notable that BSA was sold between 1938 and 1963 with two engine options – 350cc and 500cc. Talking about the TVC of Gold Star 650 that the company released a few days back, it can be noticed that a few old school design elements remain untouched to maintain its retro appearance as of before. 

In the TV Commercial, the brand has highlighted the key features of the motorcycle like a double-cradle frame, a conventional round-shaped LED headlamp with integrated DRLs, a twin-pod analogue console, and an LED taillight which gives it a retro look with a modern touch.

BSA Gold Star 650 comes with broad fenders along with a broad set handlebar, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, Pirelli Phantom SportsComp tyres with spoked wheels and a single seat setup. Apart from that, chrome accents can be seen on many parts of the bike.

BSA Gold Star 650 will use a 652cc engine that generates 45bhp of power at 6000rpm and a max torque of 55Nm at 4000rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension duties are handled by 41mm telescopic forks and at the rear, it has twin shock absorbers.

Talking about the braking system, it has Brembo brake callipers and a continental dual-channel ABS unit along with disc brakes at both ends. The bike will be available in the UK in these colour options – Insignia Red, Dawn Silver, Midnight Black, Highland Green and Silver Sheen( legacy edition).
