Carberry Double Barrel 1000: All You Need You Know

The Carberry Double Barrel 1000 story got some twist after Maxabout had an exclusive talk with Mr. Jaspreet Singh (CEO, Carberry India) about the motorcycle. The fact was made clear that Carberry has no direct relation with Royal Enfield as they have the license to use the parts from RE motorcycles but work completely independent for their products. The 1000cc engine belongs to them only and they will produce the Double Barrel 1000 at Bhilai in limited numbers.

Update: Carberry Double Barrel 1000 Launched in India @ INR 7.35 Lakh | Know More

Carberry Double Barrel 1000 (Prototype Model)

Carberry Motorcycle, the tuning expert, made a liter class engine that can actually produce 56.32 BHP at 4800 rpm and 108 Nm at 5250 rpm, making it the most powerful engine based on a Royal Enfield framework ever in the company’s history. The engine brings an impressive exhaust note while it gets a carburetor setup that is BS4 compliant. The engine is air cooled and gets 55 degree V-twin placement. Carberry is currently working on a fuel injected version of the same engine.

Carberry 100cc V-Twin Engine

The official Royal Enfield twin cylinder engine is under testing on the Continental GT style motorcycle. It has been spotted once in Spain and once in India, hinting at an official launch soon internationally. Carberry moved its operations from Australia to India and made the engine here in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. Although they have no similarities, buyers will have the option between RE’s 750 cc and Carberry’s massive 1000cc motor.

Carberry used a beefed up clutch, along with a bigger sprocket to channelize the power from this huge engine. They selected the 55 degree angle in order to combine style and mechanical simplicity. In this setup, standard Royal Enfield engine could accommodate the hydraulic lifters while the heads are even kept the same for problem free carburetor clearance. The primary drive cover even stays the same as standard RE. All of this makes it even more powerful than Harley Davidson Roadster 1200.
