700cc CFMoto Twin-Cylinder Motorcycle in the Works

700cc CFMoto Twin-Cylinder Motorcycle Patent Images Leaked: CFMoto, the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer is all set to swoop the Indian market with four new motorcycles soon. Before the official unveiling of the new portfolio, several leaked patent images of a middleweight motorcycle have surfaced online indicating that the brand is working on an all-new 700cc displacement motorcycle. The design rendering gives a clear view of what the motorcycle will look like considering the intricately defined patterns hinting at its final form. CFMoto’s tie-up with KTM has made them give a rather aggressive design language to the 700cc twin-cylinder motorcycle as well as a better appeal. Coming to the design, the 700cc motorcycle uses a parallel twin cylinder engine with liquid cooling technology. The use of “700” on the left side of the engine represents the actual displacement of the motorcycle while the logo “X” on the right side represents the design language. We can also see the “X” design has not been limited just to the engine design and it has also been used for the front fender, tail light cover, the housing for rear view mirrors as well on the headlight mask. According to the reports, the leaked patents represent the motorcycle as 700-2 which means the brand has built two models of the same for their internal use. The brand uses a tubular steel chassis frame for the 700cc motorcycle as well as will be using full LED lights for the headlamp, blinkers, and tail light. When compared with CFMoto's 649cc displacement motorcycle that is capable of churning a maximum power of 70 HP and 62 Nm of maximum torque, the power and torque coefficient for the 700cc engine would be a little higher (75-80 HP). The suspension duties will be handled by USD telescopic forks at the front while it gets a rising-rate monoshock absorber at the rear. It gets a single disc brake at the front while the production model might feature dual disc brakes. According to the leaked patents, the motorcycle uses a single pod fully-digital instrument console while the round headlight and rearview mirrors justify its retro styling. It gets a single piece saddle and a muscular fuel tank that compliments its style. The 700cc CFMoto twin-cylinder motorcycle will compete in the Indian market with the likes of Ducati Monster 797.
