CFMoto has confirmed the launch of 300NK and 650NK in India for July 2019. The news broke after the official arrival of three banners from the brand that reads ‘This July’ along with the motorcycle images. The bikes will arrive in India through the CKD route while the assembly will take place at the AMW facility in Hyderabad.
The official partner for CFMoto in India, AMW will help the Chinese brand start its operations from one dealership in Hyderabad and the other one in Bengaluru. The dealerships in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai will open in the coming weeks. The brand will later bring the 650MT and 650GT to India.
The CFMoto 300NK banner reads ‘Austrian Design’ as the promotional tagline, clearing the fact that the design lines are derived from the KTM products due to the partnership between CFMoto and KTM for the Chinese market. The headlight, fuel tank extensions, and few other parts are highly inspired by their streetfighters.
The upcoming CFMoto 300NK rivals Honda CB300R and the KTM 250 Duke in its segment while 650NK is a direct rival of Benelli TNT600i and Kawasaki Z650. CFMoto was first ready to bring the 250NK to India but later, decided to use the bigger displacement model for better output and rivalry.
The bigger 650cc model is powered by a twin cylinder engine and pricing for the same can be expected to fall around INR 5 lakh. It is good for 61.68 HP at 9000 rpm and 56 Nm at 7000 rpm. On the other hand, the smaller 292.4cc single cylinder engine on the 300NK produces 33.5 HP and 20.5 Nm. If they plan a faired version for the 300NK, it will rival the TVS Apache RR 310 in India.
CFMoto 300NK also rivals the Benelli TNT300 in India but unlike other rivals, this one is using a twin cylinder engine. Comparing the same with Bajaj Dominar may also be the right option as Dominar offers 40 HP of max power. The CFMoto 300NK is expected to be priced around INR 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
