At the recent launch event of their bikes, AMW India confirmed that they are working a CFMoto electric motorcycle. The officials have confirmed that the upcoming bike will be based on the recently launched 300NK streetfighter and will be unveiled somewhat near December this year.
We can expect the CFMoto electric motorcycle to be a street naked model with a chiselled bodywork and an aggressive appearance. Coming to the range and performance of the bike, the company confirmed that it will primarily be focusing on extracting more mileage out of its batteries. Well, we cannot comment on the numbers for now but we can predict it to deliver numbers higher than the recently launched Revolt RV400 which has an ARAI-certified range of 156km.
AMW Motorcycles also confirmed that the CFMoto electric motorcycle will be brought here as a CKD offering. As there are no high-performance battery manufacturing companies in India yet, so the brand will be importing the same from China. Bringing the bike through the CKD route and not as CBU will help the brand to keep the costs in check. We believe that the bike will launch in India by mid of the year 2020 as the company will need some time to set up the infrastructure across the country.
Recently, AMW India has launched four new CFMoto products for the Indian market that are 300NK, 650NK, 650GT, and the 650MT. The two bikes belong to the streetfighter category while the last two belong to the category of adventure tourers. The price range for the CFMoto motorcycles start at INR 2.29 lakh for 300NK and goes up to INR 5.49 lakh for 650GT. The brand recently also made an announcement that they will be launching the 400NK and the 400GT in India after a couple of months.
