Kinetic has confirmed that Hyosung Mirage 250 will launch in India around March 2019. Also known by the name Aquila 250 DR, it was launched in Spain early this year for 4,345 Euros (INR 3.30 lakh approx). The next generation cruiser looks extremely impressive as no other brand in India has something even close to this around the expected price point. The high pricing exists as this cruiser comes equipped with a V-Twin 250cc engine. The four valve per cylinder layout makes it good for 25.8 HP at 9000 rpm and 21.7 Nm at 7000 rpm. The motorcycle retains its fuel injection, electric starter and five-speed gearbox from India spec Aquila 250.
As the previous version was good for 140+ kph of top speed, expecting speeds around 150 kph would not be a big thing from Aquila 250. The all-new design language is a clear departure from the old, classic cruiser design. Here you get modern styling with almost negligible fender size. The Indian version (Aquila 250) earlier came with huge fenders, 1000+ cc styling, and least powerful engine. Hyosung now offers 15-liter fuel carrying capacity, all-new headlight and LED position lights. Hyosung’s 710mm of seat height makes this cruiser perfect for riders of every possible built and height. It even comes with a large chrome exhaust.
Indian market had four products from Hyosung earlier, all of which were held during the change in partnership from DSK to Kinetic. The brand now retails two products in India and both are available at Motoroyale dealerships from Kinetic. Hyosung will offer an extra wide handlebar, front, and rear disc brake and 19-inch front tire for the Mirage. The rear comes with an equally impressive 150/80-16 tire for perfect cruiser feel. It is currently on offer in Black and Green shade only. Pricing for the new Hyosung Mirage is expected to stay around INR 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand will also launch the much-awaited GD250R in India but, through a phased strategy.
