Ducati India Postpones Extended Warranty Price Hike

Since curbing the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has ultimately caused a nationwide lockdown, all the automotive manufacturers have been coming forward in offering relief measures to their customers. Now, Ducati India has announced that they have postponed the extended warranty price hike.

According to the official statement released by the brand, any motorcycle that faces a warranty lapse between March 24, 2020, and May 3, 2020, will now get an extended warranty period till June 1, 2020. Apart from this, the customers who wish to get an extended warranty for their vehicles post-June 1, they will have to buy it at the all-new prices issued by the manufacturer. The brand has announced that the prices for the extended warranty will be hiked for the customers after the June 1, 2020 deadline.

Commenting on the extension on warranty and the hike in the warranty package prices, Bipul Chandra, managing director, Ducati India said: “Due to the current lockdown, we understand that the entire country is going through a tough time, including Ducatisti. We at Ducati, are fully committed to providing the best services to our customers and will stand together with them during this global pandemic. With the relaxation in the extended warranty price hike, we hope to add support to our Ducati family.”

The brand currently offers an extended warranty program for its customers who buy an all-new Ducati motorcycle. In addition to this, the customers can also purchase the extended warranty package in between the standard warranty period.

Apart from Ducati, there are certain other automotive manufacturers like Triumph, Honda, Yamaha, Bajaj, TVS and more that have announced relief measures for their customers in this difficult time. The customers have been offered an extended warranty while the free service expiration for the motorcycles has also been extended.

Whenever the situation is expected to go back to normal, Ducati is expected to announce its new plans for the Indian markets which will also include the launch of the all-new Ducati Streetfighter V4.
