Ducati brings two new motorcycles to the Scrambler sub-brand, stretching its lineup for more specific buyers that are interested in something different from the products offered last year. Both the models are built on the same platform while carries totally different characters and components, tagging them for two different personality riders.
The first is the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled, based on the dirt biking platform. It comes with thick tread tyres, long suspension travel and perfectly fits as a dual sport machine. The motorcycle uses the same 803 cc, air cooled motor as the Ducati Monster 797 and comes with reinforced chassis and new swingarm to support 200 mm of front and rear suspension travel.

Ground clearance is actually impressive while the under body guard inspires confidence in the rider to get those dirty bumps and jumps in hand. The front tyre is 19 inch while the rear unit used in 17 inch. Tyres are Pirelli Scorpioni Rally STR on the Desert Sled while the seat comes with extra cushioning for enhanced comfort.
The second motorcycle is Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer, carrying the same engine as the first Scrambler that produces 75 HP of peak power. The changes here include a cafe racer style seat, 17 inch front and rear wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso III wheels and bar end rear view mirrors. The motorcycle looses the protection components and even gets limited travel over the Desert Sled.
Both the bikes are priced at $11,395 and comes out to be the best option for those who wish to get a motorcycle with low maintenance and high practicality, specially in the case of Scrambler Desert Sled. The Indian entry of Ducati bikes won’t take that much of time, making them one of the most awaited products in India for 2017.
