Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 Launched in India @ INR 8.52 Lakh

Official Press Release – Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 Launched, New Delhi, December 11, 2017: Ducati India has launched a new variant of the Scrambler family in India – the Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0. The Scrambler Mach 2.0 features a paint scheme created by renowned Californian designer Roland Sands with colors that evoke the typical West Coast style of the ’70s.

Sleek, with low-slung tapered aluminium handlebars, the Mach 2.0 also features a low variable cross-section aluminium handlebar, a dedicated Flat Track Pro seat, black exhaust and cylinder head covers, plus Café Racer-style brushed cooling fins.

Inspiration for the name of this latest Scrambler version comes from a bike that made Ducati – and motorcycling – history in the ’60s. Back in 1965, in fact, the Mach 1 250 was launched: a classic of its day that mounted the same engine as the Scrambler 250 of the time. Needless to say, the choice of name stems from its association with speed and movement: ‘Mach’, in fact, is the unit of measure for supersonic speeds.

The Euro 4 803 cc twin-cylinder Desmodue engine on the Ducati Scrambler has been designed to favor smooth running and fluid acceleration throughout the rev range, putting out 73 hp @ 8,250 rpm and 67 Nm of torque @ 5,750 rpm.

Sergi Canovas Garriga, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “The Ducati Scramblers are the perfect starting point for motorcyclists. It is a contemporary bike that gives the rider pure riding pleasure with the practicality of a modern bike. The Scrambler Mach 2.0 is a very special motorcycle that is a result of our collaboration with Roland and will provide a unique flavor to Scrambler buyers.”

The Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 is priced at INR 8,52,000 (ex-showroom India) and is available for delivery across all seven Ducati dealerships in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Kochi.
Ducati Scrambler

Ducati’s new Scrambler brand re-interprets the values of the Ducati Scrambler, the iconic two-wheeler developed in the 1970s in the USA, which quickly became a worldwide success. Anti-conformist, accessible and essential, the Ducati Scrambler is a perfect mix of tradition and modernity, a step towards the pure essence of motorcycling: two wheels, wide handlebars, a straightforward engine and endless fun.

And, to meet everyone’s individual “self-expression” needs the Ducati Scrambler comes in several different versions like the Icon, Classic and Full Throttle. This year two more versions join the Land of Joy: The Scrambler Desert Sled, a version that draws its inspiration from the off-road bikes that, back in the ’60s and ’70s, made US motorcycling history, and the Café Racer, the Scrambler interpretation of the legendary ’60s bikes that triggered a motorcycling revolution.
