Ducati Streetfighter V4 Prototype Officially Unleashed!

Ducati Streetfighter V4, the naked Panigale from the Italian manufacturer that was earlier seen through a teaser video and parked near a race track, has been officially revealed before Pikes Peak Hill Climb Event. Ducati’s rider Carlin Dunne will use the motorcycle to compete against other competitors on June 30, 2019. The event will not just help Ducati showcase their impressive engine technology for different riding conditions but also, let them test the Streetfighter V4 before putting the same into production for the public. The 1103cc, four-cylinder engine is a revolution after years of twin-cylinder legacy from the Italian brand.

The output of 214 HP at 13,000 rpm and 124 Nm at 10,000 rpm means a lot for the new Streetfighter V4 as the dry weight for the Panigale V4 with all the fairing and road-going components is just 175 kg, expecting this one to lose a considerable amount of body weight will be perfectly alright. The motorcycle here features a standard sharp headlight, completely exposed engine area and wind channels to keep the same cool during the tough race. The fairing is now gone in favour of a decent tank extension while Akrapovic exhaust will further raise the performance of this impressive machine.

The winglets on the motorcycle are race-spec only while the front headlight design comes without an actual illumination source and acts just an aerodynamically-positive part. The golden USD forks are the same units that Panigale V4 supports in all markets. The production version of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 will arrive in 2020 while EICMA 2019 will see the prototype parked with other impressive options from the lineup. The 1103cc engine also has a 998cc derivative and getting the same under Streetfighter R moniker is an equal possibility at some later stage. The camouflaged paint finish of the prototype is actually the race-specific livery from Ducati.
