All set to replace the existing Panigale 899, Ducati has unveiled its new superbike – The 959 Panigale. This upcoming middle-weight sports bike was introduced at the Indian Bike Week (IBW), ahead of its official launch in July this year.
The upcoming Ducati 959 gets a freshly styled front face and is taller, wider and offers better aerodynamics than its predecessor. The design of the 959 has subtle similarities to its older sibling, the Panigale 1299. Ducati has taken the appropriate measures to keep this bike comfortable for everyday rides, while at the same time offering a thrilling track experience.
The 2016 Ducati is powered by a Superquadro 955cc V-twin engine tuned to churn out a max power output of 157 bhp and a peak torque of 107.4 NM @ 9000 rpm. The bike comes with a steeper suspension and a shorter wheelbase, resulting in better handling over it’s predecessor. The electronics of the new Panigale include ABS, quickshifter, engine braking control, traction control and ride by wire with adjustable riding modes.
The Ducati 959 Panigale is all set to launch in July this year and is expected to carry a price-tag of INR 14.04 lacs (ex-showroom Delhi). Follow this link for complete technical specifications of 959 Panigale: http://autos.maxabout.com/bikes/ducati/superbike/959-panigale
