Say Hello to eMotion Surge: Amidst so many innovative products being launched on the World’s Environment Day, the Coimbatore based startup, eMotion have also unveiled their much anticipated geared electric bike by the name Surge.
It is India’s first high-performance geared electric bike (4-speed) that is capable of covering 0 to 60 kmph in just a matter of less than 4 seconds. The electric bike Surge features Express Charging and is expected to be launched in the Indian market in coming months.
The top speed of 120 kmph have made it compete with the likes of major 200cc bikes and the fact that it can cover 100 km with just a single charge have made it land in the performance-centric bikes of all time. The geared electric bike Surge is powered by 40Ah Lithium Ion battery that is capable of producing a maximum torque of 28 NM @ 2800 rpm at motor and whopping 517 NM at the wheel!
You can extend its range up to 200 km with an additional battery pack. The company have claimed it to be packed with 40 innovative features such as SOS feature, animated turn indicators, a storage space good enough to pack a helmet, anti-pollution self-cleaning coating and a reverse feature etc capable enough to deliver an optimum power.
Some of the major features that have left us amazed are LED Back-lit Display, Mobile phone integration, Cloud connectivity, GPS Navigation, and IOT. The 30 minutes of express charging have made it quite efficient and pocket friendly. You can ride the geared electric bike Surge in customizable modes that delivers an enhanced riding experience. The bike is said to be on sale in two stunning shades of Blue and Red.
