The Everest Kaiyue 400X is an all-new adventure motorcycle which seems to be heavily inspired by the BMW G310GS. The bike gets a high 200mm ground clearance and a seat height of 790mm. Features for the bike are also quite impressive. It includes an all-LED Headlamp, side panniers, knuckle guards, and all-digital instrumentation. There is also a USB port, 12-volt charging port, and all-terrain tyres. The bike has got a large fuel tank of 20 litres capacity.
Mechanically, the Everest Kaiyue 400X has got a 378cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled 8-valve engine by Zongshen (Chinese motorcycle manufacturer). It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine of the bike is good enough to produce 36 HP of maximum power with 35 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the India-specific BMW G310GS has got 313cc single-cylinder engine, which produces 34 HP of maximum power and 28 Nm of peak torque.
The suspension duties of the bike are performed by 41mm inverted telescopic forks at front along with a monoshock at the rear. Braking performance of the bike is handled by dual 296mm discs at the front with dual-piston callipers and a 240mm disc with a single-piston calliper at the rear end. The adventure motorcycle is equipped with a dual-channel ABS as standard. As of now, the Everest brand has no plans to enter the Indian market.
