In a recent release, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto, has notified that it will be running free service camps for the Bajaj motorcycle owners who are affected in the areas of the flood. The camps will be organized in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and Kerala.
The free service camps have been organised for 21 days, from August 19, 2019, until September 9, 2019. At the dealerships, the officials will be thoroughly analysing the vehicle and also flush the engine in case of water ingression. Bajaj owners should also take note that all the services provided at the camp will be given free of cost.
The free service camps have been organised for the welfare of the Bajaj customers who have been affected by the flood. This is the reason why the company notified that services like oil change, thorough analysis, oil or air filter and gaskets or any kind of service done to the vehicle will be provided free of charge. However, in case the vehicle has been heavily damaged, the company has recommended that the customers should carry the insurance papers of the vehicle while visiting the service camp.
The President of the Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto, Sarang Kanade said – “The severe floods have affected life and livelihood of our fellow countrymen. We are once again standing by our customers and ensuring that that all flood-affected Bajaj bikes are made roadworthy through are dealerships as quickly as possible so that full mobility is restored to Bajaj motorcycle owners.”
The company has already started shipping the spare parts that may be required for repairing the affected vehicles in those areas. Technicians and officials from the neighbouring areas are also being moved for the purpose. This initiative, taken for the welfare of its customers by this global leader in the period of this massive crisis is definitely appreciable.
