A limited-edition Harley-Davidson Street 750 with a BS6-compliant engine has been launched by the brand for commemorating their 10th anniversary in India. The special edition motorcycle gets a price tag of INR 5.47 lakhs.
According to the brand, only 300 units of the motorcycle will be available for sale at all authorized Harley-Davidson dealerships across India. In addition to this, the motorcycle manufacturer has also unveiled the Harley-Davidson LiveWire in India which will go on sale later this year. The special edition Street 750 gets a premium of INR 13,000 over the current-gen Street 750 offered by the brand.
The brand has revealed that the BS6-compliant engine for the limited edition Street 750 has not affected the power and torque values. Powering the limited edition motorcycle is the same 750cc, twin-cylinder engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 53HP and a peak torque of 60Nm. The motorcycle is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The company-claimed top speed of the motorcycle ranges at 177 kmph while the kerb weight of the motorcycles scales at 233 kgs. To offer the limited edition motorcycle a unique look when compared to the 750cc siblings, the brand has opted for a special paint scheme in addition to offering decals on the fuel tank that signifies the brand’s decade in India. Apart from this, the current design language of the motorcycle has been retained.
The bookings for the motorcycle have already been commenced at various dealerships across the country while one can expect the brand to start the deliveries soon. According to the reports, the brand will launch the BS6-compliant standard variant of Harley-Davidson Street 750 soon though, no official pricing details have been revealed as of yet. The new emission norms will commence in India from April 1, 2020, and the motorcycle manufacturer will have to update its portfolio with a BS6-compliant engine series before that.
