Harley-Davidson all-set to launch New Street Rod 750 in India

Harley Davidson Street Rod 750 was recently included in the lineup on official Indian website of the American brand. This hints at a launch event for the product in the coming days. Street Rod 750 is actually an enhanced version of the familiar Street 750, replacing the components that are cruiser specific with the ones that are race friendly. It comes with a higher ride height and claims a different territory with its Classic race bike appeal.

Street Rod 750 measures 2130 mm in length and claims 205 mm of healthy ground clearance on offer. The seat height is still quite accessible at 765 mm. Harley Davidson brings in a wheelbase of 1510 mm on the Street Rod. It uses the same 13.1 liter fuel tank as the cruiser spec cousin. The motorcycle weighs 238 kg and uses the high output version of the same Revolution X V-Twin engine, producing 62 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.

The wheels on offer are 120/70-R17 for the front and 160/60-R17 for the rear. Harley Davidson has placed a different alloy wheel design, adding more sporty essence through the USD front forks, gas charged rear sporty shocks and dual front disc brakes. The rear half of the motorcycle witness a prominent change as the rear seat now sits higher than the cruiser variant. The bar end rear view mirrors are look excellent on the profile of the motorcycle.

Harley Davidson is expected to price the Street Rod around INR 5.50-5.75 lakh. It will retain the small headlight fairing from the street series but would get the same in an aerodynamic design. Front fender on the motorcycle is considerably smaller while the company is expected to keep ABS available as standard on the newcomer. Harley Davidson Street Rod will compete against the Bonneville range of Triumph motorcycles.
