Harley-Davidson Streetfighter 338 India Launch Details Revealed: One of the most affordable bikes by Harley-Davidson is yet again making headlines as the upcoming bike is reportedly at the verge of the completion of its design phase. Earlier we reported that Harley-Davidson will be entering the small displacement motorcycle segment in a joint association with a Chinese firm – Zhejiang Qianjiang.
According to the alliance, the brand will be co-developing two different bikes among which the first will be a 338cc Harley-Davidson Streetfighter. According to the reports and as stated by the brand itself, the bike will be manufactured in China and will be exported to the other parts of the world.
Now as the parallel-twin street bike is all set to enter the production stage, hence the occasion was celebrated with a signing ceremony where officials from both the companies were present. The officials gave a green signal to the design of the bike by ‘signing off’ publicly.
After the successful accomplishment of the designing stage, the next step will be the production of this motorcycle. In accordance with the norms of the alliance, the production process will be managed by the Chinese manufacturer Zhejiang Qianjiang, who also owns Benelli.
Neither the images nor any teasers were disclosed but if we consider the images released by Harley-Davidson back in June last year, the upcoming 338cc parallel-twin motorcycle draws a great amount of similarity with the Benelli 302S. This can be said as the images that were released showcased the same trellis frame, engine, swingarm, suspension and braking components which further solidified our thought.
In the signing ceremony, the upcoming model was addressed as the ‘HD350 project’ which gives a sneak peek of the name that both the companies must have decided for the bike. The bike’s Chinese shoutout may eventually happen somewhere around the end of 2020 whereas it is expected to make an official debut in India in 2021.
