125cc Hero Scooter Launch on December 18, 2017

If recent reports are to be believed, 125cc Hero Scooter ‘Dare’ , which was once seen as a concept at 2014 Auto Expo, will launch on December 18, 2017. Hero Dare is expected to be launched as Hero Aava 125 in India. Honda’s 125cc Activa is one of the best selling product and Hero will disturb this product through the entry of its much better equipped and earlier showcased product. The 124.6cc engine on the new Aava is good for 9.4 BHP at 7500 rpm and 9.8 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine comes mated to an automatic gearbox. There are few bits of addition that makes Aava special over other scooters, which includes unique car style alloy wheels, fully digital instrument console and LED daytime running lights. Still, the game is tough as Honda Grazia is also here to answer the competition. Unlike other Hero scooters, Aava comes with 200 mm front disc brake for most effective braking. The same comes with standard telescopic forks for front suspension. All of these features are also found in Honda Grazia, further flaunting dominance through its all digital instrument console. Even if we consider Grazia to be more expensive, two of the best selling scooters, Honda Activa 125 and Access 125, are nearest rivals to the upcoming Hero Aava 125. Both are offered in a number a shades, with Access 125 even bringing clean matte shades that look impressive on the road. Hero Aava will get 155mm of ground clearance. Hero is expected to place Aava 125 at around INR 55,000 (ex-showroom). Hero’s next big thing in motorcycle segment would be Xtreme 200S, carrying an air cooled engine that rivals TVS Apache RTR 200 and Bajaj Pulsar NS200. They even have two long awaited concepts (Hastur and HX250R) on their side but no plans for their launch are currently official. Hero is currently the highest selling motorcycle brand of India.
