5 Quick Facts About the Hero Xtreme 200R Street Fighter

Hero Xtreme 200R is the most effectively placed motorcycle of its segment, rivaling none other than TVS Apache RTR 200 and Bajaj Pulsar NS200 in the country. Those who are looking for pocket-friendly performance will surely consider the same before making a purchase from the 200cc segment, also including KTM 200 Duke on the top end side. Here are five facts that you must know about the new Hero Xtreme 200R.

5 Quick Facts About Xtreme 200R

1) Good Value for Money

Hero MotoCorp commands a price tag of INR 89,900 for Xtreme 200R, available in only one variant with everything that a rider may need handy on the road. For comparison, one can consider that Apache RTR 200 with ABS costs over INR 1.10 lakh while Bajaj Pulsar NS200 comes with INR 1.12 lakh price tag. The difference is more than just a price gap as the interest of buyers change with increasing budget for sure.

2) Standard 1-Channel ABS

The single-channel ABS is available on the front wheel of Xtreme 200R. A majority of riders use a front disc for braking and that helps Xtreme in being a safe option. The non-ABS variant of Apache and NS200, even if one plans to have one, costs INR 97,000 and INR 1 lakh respectively. None of them made ABS available at such a price point for the masses. Hero MotoCorp is the first brand to bring safety so close to a 200cc buyer.

3) Excellent Mileage

Xtreme 200R comes with a 39.9 kmpl of claimed mileage. The value is better than some of the 150cc options, leaving buyers with the least concern of explosive fuel bills like most other bikes of this segment. Also, getting this figure is not that difficult once a rider enters the highway riding conditions.

4) Torque-Rich Engine

The 199.6cc, single-cylinder engine is good for 17.1 Nm of healthy torque at just 6500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Not just that, the 130/70 rear tire is good to push most of this power to the ground and move forward without any hassle. The value ensures smooth city riding without the need to change gears every time.

5) Sporty Instrument Console

A cult fan following for analog tachometer still exists in the Indian market. The only point that makes Xtreme 200R’s console special, the needle supported unit is outlined red to signify eye-popping performance on the motorcycle. The console also comes with digital odometer, speedometer and fuel gauge. A service reminder is also present.
