BS6-Compliant Hero Xtreme 200S Sportbike is Coming Soon

The BS6-compliant Hero Xtreme 200S is all-set to be launched in the Indian market in the coming days. The brand has recently posted a ‘BS6 Coming Soon’ teaser image on the sportbike’s official website.

Hero MotoCorp has recently updated the XPulse 200 with a BS6-compliant engine. The 199.6cc, fuel-injected, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine on the motorcycle is now capable of offering maximum power of 17.8 HP @ 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 16.4 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The power and torque values of the motorcycle have been decreased with the up-gradation to meet the BS6 emission norms and one can expect the BS6-Compliant Hero Xtreme 200S to offer the same performance values.

BS6-Compliant Hero Xtreme 200S Sportbike is Coming Soon

The brand is expected to reveal the price tag of the BS6 XPulse 200, XPulse 200T, and the Xtreme 200S at Hero MotoCorps’s official website while the price reveal will be considered as the official launch of the motorcycle as the brand cannot plan a launch event due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

The BS6-Compliant Hero Xtreme 200S is expected to stay more or less the same in terms of looks and design. When it comes to the front fascia, the 200cc sportbike resembles the new Suzuki Katana to some extent, while the rear part is almost similar to the Xtreme 200R. The sportbike is expected to launch with three colour options: Sports Red, Panther Black, and Brown.

In terms of pricing, the BS4 model was available for INR 99,400 while the BS6 model is expected to get a price hike of around INR 6,000 to INR 8,000. The price mentioned here is ex-showroom.
