The BS6 Hero xPulse 200 has been recently revealed by the brand in addition to officially launching its rally kit. The updated motorcycle features almost identical features when compared to its BS4 version though there are some minimal changes that are worth appreciating.
The updated XPulse 200 now gets an additional catalytic converter that has been fitted neatly by rerouting the exhaust unit. In addition to this, the motorcycle now features a larger bash plate while the air-cooler equipped on the BS4 variant of the motorcycle has been replaced with an oil-cooler to offer better heat management.
Apart from the addition of new mechanical bits complying to the BS6 emission norms, the BS6 Hero xPulse 200 remains identical when compared to the last-gen variant. The motorcycle continues to be powered by a 199.6cc engine that is now a BS6-complaint. Though the updated power and torque figures are not known as of now, they are expected to be tweaked a bit.
In its BS4 avatar, the xPulse 200 is capable of offering maximum power of 18.4HP @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 17.1Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets complete LED headlight and taillight setup while the instrument unit features Bluetooth connectivity function.
The BS6 Hero xPulse 200 continues to feature telescopic forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with a monoshock unit. The updated motorcycle gets the similar disc brakes set up at either side mated to a single-channel ABS as standard.
The brand has not yet revealed the updated price tag of the motorcycle though one can expect it to get a premium ranging from INR 3,000-INR 6,000 when compared to the fuel-injected BS4 version which is currently available in the market at a price tag of INR 1.06 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
