Hero Connect, a connected mobility system has been recently launched by Hero MotoCorp at a price tag of INR 4,999 (inclusive of the taxes). Specifically designed for offering a smart ride experience to the rider, the Hero Connect system is a cloud-based application that gives birth to the new era of connected mobility.
The Hero Connect will be offered in segments while it is initially ready for the customers on the models like XPulse, Pleasure+, Passion XPro and HF Deluxe. The all-new mobile phone application offers the rider with apt riding information as well as safety parameters like live tracking, high-speed alert, topple and two away alert, geo-fencing and more.
In addition to this, the Hero Connect offers ensured safety to the rider while parking the vehicle or while on the go. The system uses the riders’ behavioural patterns to offer driving insights while at the same time allows the rider to access logs and trip analysis easily while riding.
Commenting on the launch of Hero Connect, Malo Le Masson, Head of Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Following the XPulse 200, the first motorcycle to offer connectivity through mobile phone to riders, Hero Connect offers the next level of connectivity. With this new cloud-enabled service we aim to enhance the riding experience of our customers, at the same time making their overall experience safer and smarter. Hero Connect uses the Telematics Hardware with a built-in SIM that is securely fitted in the Vehicle. It uses the cellular network to provide a gateway for communication between the application and device. While the cloud will store the data, the App will receive the information from the cloud and display it on the mobile. Wherever you are and wherever your two-wheeler is, you are always connected.”
