Hero MotoCorp has recently initiated a new scheme for its customers in which the buyers can get the home delivery of their new two-wheeler for just INR 349. The service is right now available only in 3 cities namely Mumbai, Bangalore and Noida, though the company is hopeful about extending the home delivery service to 25 more cities in the coming months. The service is available to the customers at the company’s e-commerce website namely hgpmart.com.
The website where these services have been made available for the customers has an interface similar to the other e-commerce websites. You can easily go through the website and choose a product which can be a motorcycle or a scooter. You will be able to choose the specifications regarding the variant and the colour of the vehicle.
On heading forward with the procedure, the buyer will be required to choose the state and city that they belong to and the dealership from where the product will be delivered to their doorsteps. The e-commerce portal has features that allow you to choose from options like whether you want to pay an advance booking price or the complete ex-showroom price of the product.
In order to collect the necessary documents from the buyers, the company has collaborated with third-party service providers to get the vehicle registered and delivered to the customer in the quickest way possible.
In an interview, the head of sales, after-sales and parts business at Hero MotoCorp, Sanjay Bhan said: ”We have been the first-mover in the e-commerce space and we are continuing this trend by commencing this new service. The motorcycle or scooter can be delivered at any address of your choice, not just at your home”.
Hero MotoCorp is the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world and the brand has managed to retain the top spot in the auto industry. Recently, the company was slammed with a legal crisis in which the usage of the brand name “Hero” has been restricted for the family members of the Munjal family except for Naveen Munjal with whom these rights actually rest.
