Hero MotoCorp May Unveil the Karizma 200 on May 1, 2019

Hero Karizma 200 may arrive for its first world debut in the production-ready form on May 1, 2019. The brand has confirmed the launch of xPulse 200 and xPulse 200T for the same day and the chances of showcasing their full-faired product are an all-time high as all three 200cc bikes are based on the same platform, sharing a majority of functional components and switching visual parts to define the character in a much better way. The xPulse 200 is a die-hard adventure motorcycle with the engine as well as gearbox from the Xtreme 200R, and keeping most other features inline with their now-discontinued Impulse 150. The xPulse 200T is a tourer with a slightly highway-focused component list and alloy wheels. It is not yet sure if Hero will bring the segment-first features like spoke tires with tubeless function on their motorcycle or keep the cost-restricted approach like all the other motorcycles in their lineup. The price for the touring variant of XPulse may start under INR 1 lakh and the same price tag can be expected for the new Hero Karizma 200. The last-gen Karizma model was expensive in comparison to the rival Bajaj Pulsar 220F, and this time Hero will try its best to undercut the 220F's pricing by a good margin.

Hearing anything above INR 1 lakh takes the user interest towards more premium and lightweight products like the Yamaha R15 V3, and the MT-15. The upcoming full-faired Hero sports bike has already been spotted in the production-ready Sports Red shade, with no hints of when and where the same was tested in India. The Red shade seen here is popular with Hero bikes as the original Karizma had the same shade among all other bright and decent colour options. Even the current-gen Hero Xtreme 200R streetfighter is available in Sports Red colour. It is also being rumoured that Hero may launch their upcoming full-faired sports bike as HX200R in India.
