Hero Passion XTEC Goes On Sale – Features LED Lights & Digital Console

Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the Xtec, the smartest version of the famous Passion. It’s no secret that Hero has been improving its commuter lineup, and the Passion is the latest addition to this list. This comes just five weeks after Hero released the Splendor Plus Xtec. With the addition of various new features, the bike now provides even better value for money.

Hero has equipped the Passion Xtec with an all-digital display with Bluetooth connectivity, which includes incoming and missed phone notifications, message alerts, service reminders, real-time mileage indicators, and low fuel indicators. The display also shows the name of an incoming caller along with the phone’s battery level and also comes with a built-in USB charging outlet.

In terms of safety, the bike receives a side stand alert and a side stand engine cutoff. The bike also includes a segment-first projector LED headlamp with integrated LED DRL, as well as chromed 3D branding and rim tapes.

Hero has offered the new Passion Xtec with the same 110cc single-cylinder engine producing 9.12 PS and 9.79 Nm. This single-cylinder, the air-cooled unit is mated to a 4-speed gearbox and also gets the i3S (Idle Stop-Start) system to aid fuel efficiency. Underpinnings have remained the same too, including the front and rear suspension, and rear 130mm drum brake with the front 240mm disc/130mm drum brake option.

The new Hero Passion Xtec is available in two configurations: drum brake and disc brake. The drum variation costs Rs 74,590, while the disc brake variant costs Rs 78,990 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it Rs 3,770 and Rs 5,170 more expensive than the self-start drum and disc variants, respectively. In the Indian market, the Hero Passion Xtec competes with the Bajaj Platina 110, Honda Livo, and TVS Star City Plus.
