Hero XPulse 200 Launch Delayed in India, XPulse 200T Launch Confirmed

Hero MotoCorp has delayed the launch of its most-awaited adventure motorcycle once again. The XPulse launch has now been pushed further to March 2019. It has been almost one year since the bike was first unveiled to the world at the 2017 EICMA. However, the focus of the company has shifted to the Xtreme 200R across the country before bringing in yet another product. The launch of the Xtreme 200R was followed by that of the Destini 125 and the brand will soon launch the Maestro Edge 125. These three launches are at the forefront of the company’s schedule; the only one suffering is the XPulse. A source from the company said, “We’re focusing on the Xtreme 200R, Duet 125 and Maestro Edge 125 launches. Once we are through this, our focus will shift towards the XPulse launch which we are really excited about.” The XPulse draws its power from the same 200cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine as the Xtreme 200R. However, there is a slight difference; the gearing has been revised on the XPulse. The engine produces a maximum power of 18.4 hp and a peak torque of 17.1 Nm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox, that pushes out a mileage of around 32 kmpl. The fuel tank has a good capacity of 14 litres, allowing the bike to run for around 450 kilometres on a single full tank. When we look at the XPulse, we see an off-road style front mudguard, visor, hand guards, and engine sump guard. To provide the bike with a great agility, the suspension duties are handled by forks with 190mm of travel at the front and a 10-step adjustable monoshock at the rear with 170mm of travel. The ground clearance of the bike is a healthy 200mm, allowing the bike to handle the rough terrains. The bike is expected to be launched in India at a price of under INR 1 lakh. Currently, there are no rivals to the bike and it will dominate its segment for the years to come. Hero MotoCorp recently also unveiled the XPulse 200T at the EICMA 2018 in Milan, Italy. As per the latest details available, the brand will also launch the 200T version along with the standard variant in March 2019. The 200cc XPulse twins are expected to be priced very competitively in India. [caption id="attachment_314271" align="aligncenter" width="960"]Hero XPulse 200T Hero XPulse 200T[/caption]

Is the Hero XPulse 200T worth buying?
2023-09-19 07:23:10 AM

The Hero XPulse 200T was never really a hot seller. The company has taken its own sweet time to provide the bike with the BS6 updates, which have arrived at a pretty steep premium. If you are looking for a city bike in the 200cc space with no intention of heading to the nearby twisties or trails over the weekend, the XPulse 200T makes sense. The XPulse 200T has got the mandatory emission updates. Hence, you find a fuel-injection system fueling the 199.6cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The oil cooler is a welcome addition but not as much to justify the extra price.

Which bike is smoother between Hero Xpulse200 & Xpulse 200T?
2023-09-19 07:22:41 AM

The Hero Xpulse 200 is the off-road capable version of the two. To cement its mud-plugging credentials, the XPulse 200 gets a raised beak, knuckle guards, and a small windscreen. Whereas, the XPulse 200T is a touring motorcycle and it features a wide handlebar, comfortable ribbed seat, and conventional exhaust system. Hopefully, the XPulse 200T will be more peppy and smooth now, much like how the XPulse 200 BS6 turned out. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you take a test ride.

But the 4-valve update should bump the power figures back up just like it did on the Xpulse 200 4V adventure bike. This motor works alongside a 5-speed transmission linked to a chain drive. The suspension includes a 37mm telescopic fork and a rear 7-step adjustable mono-shock. The XPulse 200T employs a 276mm front disc, a 220mm rear disc, and single-channel ABS. It comes with 17-inch alloy wheels (at both ends) wrapped in MRF street tyres. The XPulse 200T has a curb weight of 154kg and is equipped with a 13-liter fuel tank. At 800mm, the seat is 24mm lower than the XPulse 200’s unit.
