Hero Xtreme 200S Leaked: Hero Xtreme 200S was recently leaked through an official photo by GaadiWaadi. The production ready bike carries the popular Black/Red combination and clearly shows its extended tank panels that are carried from the concept version.
The rivalry includes Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and TVS Apache RTR 200. The concept version had some different approach as it was purely made for presentation while production ready Hero Xtreme 200S looks quite practical with acceptable shade placements and familiar design lines.
The 200cc, air cooled engine on the motorcycle is good for 18.34 BHP and 17.2 Nm of torque. The values are quite lame when compared to other bikes of this segment but in other terms, it would promise more mileage and better everyday drive than sport oriented rivals.
What makes it more interesting is the use of ABS on the motorcycle, seen clearly through the recently leaked image on the front wheel. It is to be seen whether Hero offers the same as standard or as an option on the new Xtreme 200S.
The sales number in 200cc segment is quite small when compared to 150cc bikes and Hero is the only brand that could break the barriers within this engine segment. They are expected to launch the Xtreme 200S at the most reasonable price point, forcing buyers from the 150 and 180 segment to have a look at the newcomer.
As most buyers looking for performance will go for NS200, die hard Hero fans will have another reason to upgrade after the extinction of popular CBZ Xtreme and Hero Karizma from India.

Hero Xtreme Sports is not a well performing motorcycle for the brand. The sale number of Xtreme is just 10% of the most selling motorcycle of this segment. Still, Hero’s strong commuter range makes them the best selling motorcycle manufacturer of India.
Trying their technology under 200cc moniker is not a bad idea as most Indian origin brands are bringing premium models and they at least get a four digit sales number every month. Xtreme 200S is expected to get a price tag of under INR 90,000 for the non-ABS model.
