New Hero Bikes Are Coming – A 421cc ADV and A 300cc Sportbike

Many auto web portals speculated that the engine of Hero MotorCorp’s upcoming adventure and sport bikes would be 300cc. But for a variety of valid reasons, there were some who believed otherwise and claimed that the engine could instead displace 450cc.

The exact displacements of the engines have been recently revealed by sources. The adventure bike has a 421cc engine, while the sportbikes have a 300cc engine. When it comes to the adventure model, the bikes look massive, and a 300cc engine simply won’t do it justice.

Hero already has a 450cc motorsport adventure machine in its existing portfolio. Without big names like KTM or BMW to help with engine development, Hero is forced to play the displacement game like Royal Enfield in order to achieve performance numbers.

All of these primary reasons may have led Hero to choose a 421cc mill over 300cc. The sport bike appears smaller, and a 300cc engine would suffice because it does not appear to be a hardcore machine.

Contrary to popular belief, the adventure bike will not be available until the second half of 2023, with the sport bike arriving a little sooner. According to sources, Hero engineers are currently working on resolving a number of issues that have arisen on the test mules.

It appears that Hero will consider an unveiling and subsequent launch only after all issues have been resolved. These machines can be expected to deliver incredible performance numbers, with sources claiming that the 421cc engine can produce up to 45 HP of maximum power and 35 Nm of peak torque.

When they are released, the adventure bikes will compete directly with the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, the sports bike will also compete with the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, KTM RC 390, and the TVS Apache RR 310.
