Hero MotoCorp recently unveiled 3 New Hero Bikes for the Indian lineup. Keeping the focus exclusively on the commuter range, Hero Super Splendor was the first product out on the event. It was soon followed by Hero Passion Pro and Passion xPro.
All three of them are purely commuter friendly machines that focus on city riding in everyday traffic conditions. Fans were expecting the new Xtreme 200 or a 125cc scooter from the brand while they are still focusing on bigger numbers in terms of monthly sales through these products. Basically, all three are minor face-lifts with added features and new shades.
Hero Super Splendor now comes with a more powerful 124.7cc, single cylinder engine producing 11.4 BHP at 7500 rpm and 11 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
2018 Super Splendor comes with self-starter, drum brakes and a practical 13 liter fuel tank. Saddle height is quite relaxing at 785 mm while the bike weighs just 124 kg. It is a clear cut flagship variant for the Splendor series of commuter bikes.
The new Passion Pro is vibrant, lightweight and fully equipped on the top spec model. It offers 109.15cc, single cylinder engine producing 9.4 BHP at 7500 rpm and 9.0 Nm at 5500 rpm.
The engine comes with a 4-speed gearbox while the bike weighs just 116 kg. Buyers can select any one variant between the disc and drum brake option. Seat height is comfortable at just 781 mm while fuel carrying capacity is 11 liters.
Carrying the same 110cc engine as the other Passion, xPro comes with better design through extended fuel tank panels and better color selection. It comes with a disc brake for the front and return almost the same mileage as other 110cc bikes from Hero.
There is no word on the pricing of these updated models of Super Splendor, Passion Pro, and Passion xPro. Hero will launch these bikes in India in January 2018 starting with the new Super Splendor 125.
Hero Splendor and Passion series counts between the top selling bikes of India, selling close more than 2.5 million and 1 million units annually. Updates also includes wider rear tyre, fuel saving i3S and vibrant shades on all three of them.
