Honda CBR250R Sales Down to 0 Units in November 2019

The recent downfall in the Indian automotive industry has hit major two-wheeler manufacturers with Honda being one of them. Once considered a hero in the motorcycle segment, the Honda CBR250R has registered a disappointing sales figure of zero units in November 2019. The motorcycle registered a 100% decline in the overall sales when compared to the 104 units registered in the same month last year. Honda CBR250R has been posting poor sales figures from the past few months as the customers are now keen on getting their hands on other quarter-litre segment motorcycles like Suzuki SF 250, Jawa 300, Yamaha FZ25, and the KTM Duke 250.

The CBR250R is currently available in the market at a price tag of INR 1.96 lakh while the customers have an option to avail the higher displacement Bajaj Dominar 400 at just INR 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Another reason for the downfall in the sales for the Honda CBR250R is that the customers are waiting for the brand to roll out the BS6-compliant model of the motorcycle before the new emission norms commence in India from April 1, 2020. The brand has been stretching offering the motorcycle with basic features from quite some time now.

The same old last-gen design language with same old setup for the headlights, the motorcycle falls weak when it comes to competing with the likes of the motorcycles from brands like KTM, Suzuki and TVS. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is currently available in the market at a price tag of INR 1.71 lakh and featuring a splendid design language is another reason for the declining sales of the CBR250R. Certain reports also suggest that the brand will be launching the Honda CBR300R next year which will ultimately replace the CBR250R in the Indian market though there is no official confirmation on the same. To jog your memory, powering the Honda CBR250R is a 249cc, single-cylinder engine that is good for 26.5HP @ 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 22.9Nm @ 7000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. Sales Data Source

Which is the best sports bike to buy? Either Honda CBR250R or Bajaj Pulsar 220F?
2022-12-29 06:06:09 AM
Pulsar 220 F is the best bike as it offers the most powerful engine at the best price tag in the Indian market. The CBR250R is a bit expensive at INR 2 lakh on road but performs better due to its bigger engine whereas the Bajaj Pulsar 220F comes with an economical price tag and performs excellently well in its class. It is powered by an oil cooled 220 cc engine producing 20.8 BHP and 19.12 Nm of torque. The bike weighs 15 kg less than the CBR and comes with a top speed of 134 kmph.
(1) How much is minimum down payment (2) How much minimum EMI (3) How many colours are available in Honda CBR250R?
2022-12-29 06:05:53 AM
The CBR250R is available in the following colors; Sports Red, Sports Black, Pearl Amazing White. The minimum downpayment you can expect to pay is 10% of the bike’s ex-showroom price. However, banks have very strict criteria so getting a loan upto 90% of the bike’s value could be little tough. You could instead pay 15% of bike’s ex-showroom price which in this case is, 15% of 160, 585 (ex-showroom delhi), Rs 24087. You’ll have to pay for the RTO and insurance. The EMI will reduce as you increase the downpayment. To get the lowest possible EMI, pay as much as you can upfront and, for the remaining amount, apply for a 5 year loan.
I am 5'5”, is KTM RC 200 comfortable for me? Or Honda CBR250R is better?
2022-12-29 06:05:48 AM
The KTM RC200's seat might be a little high for you, at 820mm. The CBR 250R is an ideal choice. It has a seat height of 780mm, 40 mm less than the KTM RC200. Your feet will easily touch the ground so it'll be easier to handle a CBR250 R.

I want complete details for Hero HX250R, can it defeat Honda CBR250R?
2022-12-29 06:05:07 AM
Hero HX250R is expected to launch with the same design as it was recently seen at the Auto Expo 2016 with no changes to the design displayed 2 years ago. The 250 cc engine on the HX250R is good for 31 BHP and its lightweight 139 kg of body makes it sure than it sprints better than Honda CBR250R, R15 and maybe 200 Duke. The things are different with the Ninja as it is a 2-cylinder 300 cc motorcycle with loads of more power than the the HX250R. It even costs more than double the expected price of INR 1,50,000 for the HX250R. It would carry the twin headlight design and support yellow halogen bulbs in both the lights.
