India’s 3rd New Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Delivered to Anurag Kaushik in Delhi

North India’s 1st and India’s 3rd Honda CBR1000RR has finally arrived. Mr. Anurag Kaushik brought this beautiful Matte Ballistic Black Metallic motorcycle from Wing World Honda, New Delhi. The motorcycle was launched in April 2017 but has a limited number of buyers due to high ex-showroom price.

This typical example costs INR 14,78,268 before adding up the insurance and taxation cost. The on-road price comes around INR 16.70 lakh. Buying a liter-class sportbike is a unique experience as one gets three times more power than a similar sized car engine and just a fraction of its weight.

This results in mind-blowing power to weight ratio, and a sprint time of under 3 seconds from standstill to 100 kph. This is the first generation of CBR to source parts from popular international manufacturers. It is the lightest bike of its class with just 196 kg of wet weight.

The 999cc, inline-4 engine is good for 189 HP at 13,000 rpm and 114 Nm at 11,000 rpm. The motorcycle comes with LED lights, titanium muffler, quick-shifter and 43mm front inverted forks. The details shared by Anurag Kaushik also clear that Honda has reduced the pricing but changes are yet to be seen on their official website.
