2017 Honda Dio Launched in India @ INR 49,132

2017 Honda Dio has been launched in India for INR 49,132 (ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter gets noticeable styling updates while the engine now comes out to be BS4 compliant. It now even comes equipped with AHO function for added safety. Apart from these changes, the new Dio comes with LED daytime running lights on its handlebar panel. The changes to the color schemes and use of dual tone shades has made the moto-scooter look even better than before.

Honda Dio can now be bought in Pearl Sports Yellow, Vibrant Orange, Sports Red, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Candy Jazzy Blue shades across India. Each of them looks better than the other as these paint schemes would target the entry level teenage buyers with much ease in the Indian market. Not just that, engine (109.19 cc) on the new Dio is also the most frugal unit available in the scooter segment, producing 8 BHP at 7000 rpm and 8.91 Nm at 5500 rpm.

The scooter weighs just 103 kg and carries a fuel tank of 5.3 liters. The seat height for the same is 765 mm while it carries a wheelbase of 1238 mm. The only rival for the new Dio is Yamaha RayZR as both the scooters share the same body mounted headlight design. Other features on the Dio are tubeless tyres, combi braking system, maintenance free battery and V-Matic automatic gearbox. The new shades would help in improving the sales of the scooter across the country.
