2018 Honda CBR150R was recently launched in Indonesia with two new shades for the country. It is the closest rival to Yamaha R15 V3 and Suzuki GSX-R150. Latest model of CBR150R uses a new design and Indian CBR150R is actually two generations behind the Indonesian version.
Honda discontinued the CBR150R in April 2017 after the implementation of BS4 emission norms in India. However, for those who are from Indonesia, everything except the shade options remain the same as 2017 variant. The new shades are named Victory Black Red and Matte Black.
Honda recently removed the Black-White shade while Honda Racing Red and MotoGP Edition was kept the same as before. The 149.16 cc, single cylinder DOHC engine uses liquid cooling and fuel injection. This setup makes it good for 16.9 Bhp at 9000 rpm and 13.7 Nm at 7000 rpm. Honda offers 12 liters of fuel carrying capacity while its overall weight is 135 kg. The seat height for CBR150R is 787 mm, making it a great option for shorter riders.
This generation of design language is inspired from bigger CBR models, claiming features like LED front headlights, sharp tail section and dual disc brakes. 2018 CBR150R measures 1983 mm in length, 694 mm in width and 1038 mm in height. It comes with a 130/70-17 rear tyre that helps CBR150R gain the maximum traction possible at the moment.
2018 Honda CBR150R is claimed to get an on-road price tag of IDR 32,975,000 (INR 1.60 lakh approx) in Jakarta, Indonesia. As of now, Honda has not announced anything regarding the launch of 2018 CBR150R in India. But the recent news of Yamaha R15 V3 coming to India soon, Honda might also launch the New CBR150R @ Auto Expo 2018 on February 7.
