The 2020 Honda MSX125 monkey bike has been recently revealed by the brand. The motorcycle is all set to be launched in Vietnam on May 10, 2020. The MY2020 variant of the 125cc motorcycle would be available to the customers in new colour schemes.
Initially launched in 2014, the MSX125 has been able to set a record for itself in the Vietnamese markets. The brand has officially discontinued the last-gen colour variants of the motorcycle which were Blue, Green, Black/Red, and Black/Orange while at the same time, has introduced new dual-tone colour schemes namely Red/Blue, White/Red, and Yellow/Black.
Apart from imparting a new colour palette to the 125cc machine, the brand has not altered the motorcycle cosmetically or mechanically. The 2020 Honda MSX125 continues to feature a dual-LED headlight set up at the front while the handlebar unit has been shod with a fully-digital instrument console. The motorcycle has been equipped with a sporty alloy wheel setup while the brand has retained the LED tail light at the rear as well as the single-piece saddle for its MY2020 avatar.
Coming to the mechanical bits, the MSX125 continues to be powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 9.3 HP at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
The suspension duties on the updated motorcycle continue to be handled by USD forks at the front while the rear features a monoshock unit. The braking department is foreseen by the disc brakes at either side. The brand will be importing the 2020 Honda MSX125 to the Vietnamese markets from Thailand and the motorcycle will now be available to the customers at a price tag of VND 49.99 million (approx INR 1.61 lakh). The customers will be offered a 3-year or 30,000 km warranty with every purchase of the MSX125 in addition to the 6 free periodic inspections.
