2021 Honda CBR600RR Spotted Undisguised: Ahead of the official unveiling on August 21, the much-awaited 2021 model of the Honda CBR600RR SuperSport motorcycle has been spotted undisguised in a new set of photos. The bike variant is being resurrected by the brand after more than three years as Honda discontinued the CBR600RR under its portfolio due to the implementation of Euro 4 emission norms.
As expected, the 2021 CBR600RR is heavily inspired by the Honda CBR1000RR-R superbike. The updated version of the 600cc motorcycle has been designed to be aerodynamically efficient with the addition of fine design elements on the body panels like the edgy wings attached to the side fairing. The 4-into-1 exhaust has been placed below the pillion seat to impart the supersport bike a unique look.
Since the 600cc middleweight supersport segment is flourishing across the world with the Yamaha YZF-R6 and the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R witnessing decent sales, Honda has finally decided to relaunch the CBR600RR in the international markets to get itself ahead of its competitors in the same segment as well as cater to the declining overall sales.
Though there has been no information revealed on the power and torque figures, one can expect the upcoming motorcycle to offer optimum performance in its segment. In addition to this, the motorcycle is further expected to feature a premium electronic package to set it apart from its competitors. Like most of the new-gen sportbikes, the 2021 Honda CBR600RR will also come equipped with an all-digital console.
The new Honda CBR600RR is expected to be powered by an upgraded version of the CBR600RR’s 599cc, liquid-cooled, inline, four-cylinder engine while one can safely assume it to meet the current Euro 5/BS6 emission standards. The upcoming motorcycle variant is further expected to feature 41mm premium upside down (USD) telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear.
The CBR600RR-R is expected to be available to the customers in international markets in two colour schemes namely Metallic Black and Honda Racing Red. At present, it is not clear whether Honda would be launching the 2021 CBR600RR in India or not.
