Earlier in 2017, the monkey bike was spotted testing on the Indian roads but it never got introduced in the markets. The Japanese company has moved one step forward recently, and filed for a patent design in India for the same. The latest version of the Grom suggests that the company is ready to introduce the minibike in India for which it is securing all the rights for the product especially a patent for the design.

2021 Honda Grom 125 (MSX 125) Features An All-Digital Console

If Honda decides to bring the Grom to India, we can expect it to be significantly more expensive than the company’s last monkey bike – the Navi. While Honda Navi shared its hardware equipment with the 110cc model of Activa scooter, Grom 125 is a unique motorcycle, only if we get with the same set of specifications as available in the international markets.

The hardware components of the 2021 Honda Grom 125 are comparable to what you would get on a regular 125cc motorcycle these days, like LED lights, an all-digital instrument cluster, and alloy wheels.

The wheelbase of the monkey bike stands at 1,200mm while the seat height is 761mm. The Honda Grom 125 probably has one of the smallest diameter USD forks on a production motorcycle, measuring just 31mm. The international-spec model of the bike is powered by a 124.9cc, single-cylinder engine that gives a max output of 9.7HP and 10.5Nm. The engine is further mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
