The 2022 Honda CB300R made its official debut in the Indian two-wheeler market today. This bike is now available for booking and will be delivered through the brand’s premium BigWing outlets across the country. Honda has priced the BS6 model of the CB300R at Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom) and has offered the bike in two attractive colours: Pearl Spartan Red and Matte Steel Black.
The 2022 Honda CB300R expands the Japanese bikemaker’s presence in India’s mid-size motorcycle segment. This new-sports cafe racer bike was revealed at India Bike Week in December 2021. When it comes to design and styling, it has a design that combines retro styling with modern elements. The circular headlamp is outfitted with LED units as well as integrated LED daytime running lights.
Other design elements that contribute to the motorcycle’s premium visual appeal include a fully digital display, a chunky and muscular fuel tank, split seats, a sleek LED taillight, contrasting exhaust, black alloy wheels, brushed alloy radiator shrouds, and an engine block protector. The LCD instrument display offers plenty of information, which includes a gear position and side stand indicator as well as an engine inhibitor.
Coming to the technical specifications, the 2022 Honda CB300R is powered by a BS6-compliant 286cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which is capable of generating 30.7 HP at 9,000 rpm and 27.5 Nm of max torque at 7,500 rpm in collaboration with a 6-speed transmission.
Moreover, the braking duties are assigned to 296mm hub-less floating disc brakes at the front with a 4-pot radial-mounted calliper and 220mm rear disc brakes, which are further supported by a dual-channel ABS system. While the suspension responsibilities are handled by gold-coloured USD front forks and a 7-step preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear end.
