Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) introduced their 2022 Gold Wing Tour in the Indian market on 19 April at the price of ₹39.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The tourer will make its way as a CBU unit and will be available with a single Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) option and the Japanese brand has also equipped the bike with an airbag.
It is an enhanced version of the existing model and they are presenting it as a flagship bike in Honda’s premium network. Speaking about the new launch, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director of Sales & Marketing said, “Raising the level of touring experience by several notches, we turn a new chapter in redefining luxury on two-wheels with the 2022 Gold Wing Tour DCT model with Airbag in India.”
Honda Gold Wing Tour comes with a sharp front fascia, dual-LED fog lamps, auto-cancelling indicators, an extended electric screen and dual front suspension. In addition, it also receives a separated seat for the rider and pillion with a pillion backrest angle from 16° to 23°. Cruise Control and Throttle By Wire (TBW) are some of the prominent features that it is installed with.
2022 Honda Tourer comes equipped with a 7-inch coloured TFT screen featuring driving modes, audio and navigation system and suspension settings. The Honda Gold Wing Tour (DCT) receives a load of features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Bluetooth Connectivity with two USB Type-C ports. The navigation system comprises a gyrocompass, which is displayed in the central section of the instrument panel.
They offer the 2022 Gold Wing Tour in a die-cast aluminium twin-beam frame and dual wishbone front suspension. The Tourer’s Dual Combined Brake System (D-CBS) makes sure the braking force is distributed to the front and rear wheels efficiently and is automatically adjustable according to the current riding mode. Key highlights include the ABS (Anti-Brake System) modulator, ECU (Electronic Control Unit) brake and a pro-arm swing-arm.
Honda Gold Wing Tour 2022 has a fuel tank capacity of 21 litres. It comes with four riding modes – Tour, Sport, Econ and Rain and the modes are attached to suspension damping and the Dual Combined Brake System (D-CBS).
Hosting a 1833cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke 24-valve SOHC flat-6 engine set to bring about a peak power of 124 HP @ 5500 rpm and a max torque of 170 Nm @ 4500 rpm. They have optimised the transmission for low-speed manoeuvrability with close ratios, reducing shift shock.
The Honda Gold Wing Tour DCT is accessible only at the Honda’s BigWing dealerships present in Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Indore, Kochi, Hyderabad and Chennai.
