2023 Honda CB250R Makes Official Debut – No Launch Plans for India

Honda has launched the 2023 CB250R in Malaysia; the motorcycle is more expensive than the previous generation model. The Japanese manufacturer had only recently introduced the two-wheeler in its home market. The bike comes standard with 41mm Showa SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork – Big Piston) inverted forks.

2023 Honda CB250R retains most of the previous generation model’s design elements, including a muscular 10.5-litre fuel tank, round LED headlamp, a wide handlebar, split-style seats, a slim tail section, a sleek LED tail lamp, and an upswept exhaust. The bike is outfitted with an LCD instrument cluster and 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased, wide-section tyres.

Honda CB250R is powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. The mill produces a maximum power of 26.8 hp and a maximum torque of 23.2 Nm.

2023 Honda CB250R features disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels and dual-channel ABS for improved braking performance on any terrain. The front suspension is handled by 41mm Showa SFF-BP inverted forks, and the rear suspension is handled by a 5-step preload-adjustable monoshock unit.

The 2023 Honda CB250R is priced at RM 23,999 in Malaysia (approximately Rs. 4.27 lakh). Matte GunPowder, Black Metallic, and Candy Chromosphere Red are the colour options for the motorcycle. The bike competes with rivals from KTM, Kawasaki, and Yamaha by using premium components typically found on larger capacity offerings.
