BS6 Honda CB300R Details Leaked Ahead of Official Launch

Honda recently unveiled its new bike, the BS6 CB300R, at the 2021 India Bike Week. The engine, design, and features of this bike have been updated. The company will launch it in India on January 22nd this year. The new Honda CB300R now features a BS6 engine as the biggest update. Before that, in the year 2019, this bike gained a lot of name and fame, but due to the implication of BS6 (Bharat-Stage VI), it vanished from the market.

Not long ago, an online portal received a document directly from the Transport Department which shows some of the details regarding the 2022 CB300R. According to the document, the new model of the bike is fitted with a 286cc single-cylinder BS6 engine that generates 30.7 HP of power at 9000rpm. Like most of the premium segment motorcycles, the Honda CB300R is also equipped with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike also features a dual-channel ABS feature along with a slipper clutch as change. In terms of the looks and hardware, there are no major changes.

The bike continues to feature the same trellis frame as the BS4 model. In addition, the front end gets upside-down telescopic forks and the back features a mono-shock suspension system. The bike is equipped with disc brakes at both ends. The company has also not updated the instrument cluster of the bike and it has the same LCD instrument cluster as before, in which there is no Bluetooth connectivity feature. In India, the BS6 Honda CB300R will take on the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310R, and Bajaj Dominar 400. The updated model of the bike is expected to launch with an ex-showroom price tag of around Rs 2.40 lakhs.
