Honda Activa 5G Limited Edition Spotted: Honda 2-Wheelers will soon be launching its popular Activa 5G scooter with two limited edition colour schemes. As the regular version of the scooter is available in STD and DLX variants, both of them will be offered with the new limited edition colours. Some of the dealerships have also started accepting the bookings for the scooter, and the deliveries are expected to start in a few days.
As per a report by Autocar India, the limited edition STD variant is priced at INR 55,032, while the limited edition DLX version will cost INR 56,897. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom. In comparison to the price of the regular model, the limited edition model is available with a reasonable price hike of INR 400.
Going by the looks, as seen in the leaked images, the scooter features special dual-tone colour options which include silver+black colour scheme and white+gold colour combination. Also, the seat and inside portion of the apron on the scooter receives a brown finish. The scooter gets a pinstripe down the front mudguard, blacked-out wheels, and ‘Limited Edition’ stickers on the side panels.
Mechanically, we can expect the scooter to continue to be powered by the same 109.1cc single-cylinder engine that produces 8HP of maximum power and 9 Nm of peak torque. According to the recent reports, Honda is also working on its new-gen Activa 6G, and it will most probably be making an official debut at the Auto Expo in February 2020.
The 110cc scooter is expected to get a set of new updates such as smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth which will also feature turn-by-turn navigation support. The next-gen Activa 6G is also expected to feature an external fuel filler which would be a first on a Honda scooter in India. Also, the company will be updating the 110cc single-cylinder engine to meet the new BSVI emission norms, that will come into effect starting from April 1 next year.
