Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP 30th Anniversary Edition Unleashed
Honda has introduced a variety of changes to its flagship CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, including the addition of a 30th Anniversary special edition that pays tribute to its heritage with retro-themed paint. The Fireblade range was started in 1992 with the launch of the original CBR900RR. The Fireblade has come a long way in three decades, but it remains one of the class benchmarks for its combination of performance, superior engineering, and accessibility.
To honour the legendary machine’s 30th birthday, the brand presented the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP anniversary edition with the white, blue, and red livery created by the original designer, Mr Hiroaki Tsukui. There is also a “Ring of Fire” screen animation on the dashboard display, a blue seat, and a unique 30th Anniversary emblem and badging on the fuel tank lid, Smart key fob, and Akrapovic muffler.
Other than that, the CBR1000RR-R retains the same 998cc inline four-cylinder inline engine linked to a diamond-style frame, with more dynamic-centred alterations in response to input from HRC racers, who have complained that the Fireblade, while speedy, lacked stability under severe cornering. The upgrades are applicable to both the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and the top-of-the-line CBR1000RR-R SP.
