Honda recently made an announcement they will soon be launching an all-new scooter in India. Today, the brand officially revealed the new 110cc scooter. Christened as ‘Cliq’, it is a pure utility scooter and you can guess the same by taking a look at the overall design of the scooter. Honda Cliq is available in a single variant priced @ INR 42,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). According to Honda, this automatic scooter has been specifically been developed for the rural market to offer maximum utility to the owners.
Honda Cliq Utility Scooter Launched @ INR 42,500
Honda Cliq is available in 4 shades and it will be launched across India in a phased manner. The scooter will be manufactured at the Honda’s Tapukara facility. Cliq weighs 102 kg and it lighter than Activa 4G by around 6 kg. Honda Cliq is powered by the same 110cc engine which powers most of the Honda scooters. It generates maximum power of 8.04 HP and maximum torque of 8.94 Nm.
The top speed claimed by Honda is 83 kmph. The fuel tank capacity is just 3.5 litre, which sounds low for a utility vehicle. Honda should have equipped Cliq with at least 5 litre fuel tank. In terms of braking, Honda Cliq is equipped with 130mm front and rear drum brakes, and Honda is offering CBS (Combined Braking System) as standard.
HMSI SVP sales and marketing Yadvinder Guleria said, “[The Cliq] is focused on up-country customers. Only Honda could challenge traditional preferences by bringing this kind of disruption in the 100-110cc segment.”
