Electric vehicles are currently popular. To add fuel to the fire, new electric 2Ws are being released on a regular basis. Honda has announced that 2W EVs are in the works, with a 2023 launch date.

Honda intends to release ten electric vehicles by 2025, one of which is the Activa e-scooter. Now, design images of one of the scooters have leaked.

Honda Super Cub comes to mind when we look at this upcoming vehicle. It is one of the most iconic two-wheelers in the world, and sales surpassed 100 million in 2017.

Honda's upcoming electric moped may have been inspired by the Super Cub. But it is clear that the future product will include future technology. Unlike a gasoline-powered ICE engine, it has an electric powertrain.

It has an underbone chassis and even a flat footboard. Despite the fact that the design sketches only show one seat, the production model is likely to include a pillion seat, at least as an option. At the front, there is a cool-looking round headlight that could be outfitted with LEDs.

The large wheels are identifiable when looking at the cycle parts. There are alloys that, like Super Cub, are likely to be 17" in size. The front brakes are discs, while the rear brakes are drums and it could come with CBS. The rear wheel houses a hub motor that, if necessary, receives assistance from the pedals via chain drive.

Honda has not yet released any specifications. It is not a stretch to think that Honda will promote swappable battery technology with this electric moped. Looking at the design, one might conclude that there isn't much room for a large battery. That could be the case in this case. That is less likely to be an issue with swappable battery technology.

As of now, the Honda electric moped is not a particularly appealing proposition in India. There is a slim chance that it will launch in India for the B2B segment, intra-city deliveries, and even postal services in urban areas. Honda is very likely to launch the U-Go electric scooter in India, which has been patented in our country.
