Honda to launch 4 New Products in India this year
If a recent report is to be believed, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will launch 4 new products in India this year. They have confirmed that all of these will carry new names and won’t be related to any of the existing sub brand name. Out of these four, two will be from the scooter segment while other two will be motorcycles. If things go the same way as described earlier, one of the motorcycle product would be Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin. It will be localized and placed under a strict budget for adventure lovers. It is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 13 lakhs.

As Honda CBR150R and CBR250R were recently removed from the website, bringing the 2017 CBR150R would be the best option for Honda fans. It carries an updated design while features like LED headlights would make it even closer in competition with Yamaha R15 V3. It comes with a 149.16 cc, single cylinder engine producing 16.9 BHP at 9000 rpm and 13.7 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox while the bike weighs just 135 kg. The design of this motorcycle is highly inspired from twin-cylinder CBR sport bikes.

The two scooters mentioned here could feature the much awaited PCX series in India. Honda may choose to use the existing 125 cc scooter engine on the expected model, tuned to produce a higher output. They can even bring the bigger PCX 150 to dominate the premium scooter segment where Aprilia SR 150 and Piaggio Vespa are placed. The removal of CBR series from the locally produced lineup was a shocking move. They even removed the commuter spec Dream Neo from the lineup. The scooters were all updated to meet the BS4 norms.
