We recently posted that Honda has plans to launch the XRE 300cc Adventure bike in India this year and now a TeamBHP member (Hammer & Anvil) has spotted the bike in India. The motorcycle would be a direct rival to Royal Enfield Himalayan while upcoming products like KTM 390 Adventure, Kawasaki Versys 300, and BMW G310GS. The expected launch period for the motorcycle is October 2017 while its pricing would stay under INR 2 lakh in the country. The expansion of Indian automobile industry makes it necessary for big player to introduce products in every segment.

Honda XRE 300 Adventure is currently being sold in Brazil. The engine used on the motorcycle is a single cylinder 291.6 cc fuel injected unit producing 25.4 HP at 7500 rpm and 27 Nm at 6000 rpm. The fuel tank measures 13.8 liters while an excellent 259 mm of ground clearance makes it perfect for all kind of road conditions. The typical off-road design helps the Honda XRE 300 keep the overall weight at 153 kg (ABS variant). Apart from that, it gets 256 mm front and 220 mm rear disc brake.
XRE 300 has a huge 90/90-21 wheel upfront while its rear wheel is 120/80-18. The long travel suspension and high mounted exhaust further makes it the best option to consider while off-roading. The design may look similar to the Hero Impulse but having twice he power makes it very impressive. The low weight helps the motorcycle move quickly while its impressive equipment makes it perfect for those who travel very often.
