New 300cc Honda BigWing Bike Launched in India at Rs 2.26 lakh

Honda had been teasing us with their new “Formidable” product for a month, building up a lot of anticipation. The CB300F, a naked street motorcycle, is what we all thought was a Forza 350 maxi scooter. So the F is what gave rise to the term “Formidable.”

Honda refers to the CB300F as an “Advanced Street Fighter.” The CB300F gets a masculine and toned fuel tank, giving it international streetfighter appeal. The rider’s triangle is dedicated and sporty. However, it also provides a lot of aggression.

The all-new street motorcycle also features a split seat, small muffler, stylish V-shaped alloy wheels, gold USD forks at the front, copper-coloured engine head and clutch cover with Honda branding to complement the gold colour on the front USD forks.

Honda CB300F has a 293cc displacement and a modern DOHC setup with a 4V head. This engine has a peak power of 24.13 hp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 25.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission along with a slipper clutch and oil-cooling.

With HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) and Dual Channel ABS, Honda has attempted to provide a safety net for CB300F riders. HSTC is a Honda-developed technology that aids in the modulation of engine torque when slippage is detected. Honda claims that the CB300F also contains ten other patent techs.

Honda provides smartphone connectivity as well as a fully digital instrument console with 5 levels of brightness, the precise functionality of its Honda Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVCS) is well known. Honda CB300F has LED lighting throughout, rear mono-shock suspension, front USD forks, and a fat 150-section tyre at the rear for massive presence and optimal grip.

The Honda CB300F is available in two models: Deluxe and Deluxe Pro. Both of these variants are available in three colours: Mat Axis Grey Metallic, Mat Marvel Blue Metallic, and Sports Red. The Deluxe trim starts at Rs. 2,25,900 and the Deluxe Pro trim starts at Rs. 2,28,900 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
