Honda Rebel 300 and Rebel 500: All You Need to Know

Honda recently unveiled two new models for the Rebel brand for the US market. It holds a special place in the hearts of countless Honda fans as their first motorcycle while the new generation models would even cater a bigger audience than ever. Honda unveiled Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 models just before the official start of IMS Long Beach Show. As of now, Honda as not announced anything regarding the launch of Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 in India.

Honda Rebel 300 uses the motor from CBR300R, keeping the 286cc, single cylinder engine under little stress due to cruiser body style and running dynamics. Priced at $4399 (INR 3.0 lakh, approximate), the motorcycle offers true cruiser style riding to riders with least driving experience. The motorcycle is good for younger riders who even wish to keep the expenses under check.

Honda Rebel 300 and Rebel 500: All You Need to Know

Rebel 500 comes with a more powerful twin cylinder, 471cc engine from the CBR500R. It is even tuned for better pulling power and targets riders with a bigger budget and more power requirement. The same frame and body design is being used on both the bikes while the bigger one is placed at $5999 (INR 4.10 lakh, approximate).

The rebel series could be a huge success in the Indian lineup if Honda plans to localize the CBR300R and CBR500R in the country, further providing the engine to the Rebel series and save a lot on taxes and extra charges. Most of the Honda fans are disappointed with their decision to delay the update of current CBR series in India while bringing these products can bring a feeling of exclusivity among Honda fans in India.
